Our team is very familiar with working with federal, provincial and other corporate organizational space standards and design guidelines. When standards are not available, we leverage the knowledge gained through our extensive project experience and in-house expertise to provide a suitable approach to future planning for our clients.
Our client requested a comparative analysis of their existing office and support areas to the Canada government fit up standards to align with current workplace practice and understand the future capacity of their existing office locations. Through site walkthroughs and floor plan analysis, we identified locations for potential space optimization through implementing the fit-up standards. We then took those areas and established their new capacity though mathematical programming and targeted test fit planning.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is responsible for providing integrated border services that support national security and public safety while facilitating the flow of people and goods. We are currently working with the CBSA to complete a set of Design Standards & Guidelines for their Air, Land, Marine and Rail border crossings. Through site tours, benchmarking and engagement workshops we are working with the CBSA to update and modernize their space programming. At the completion of the project, the CBSA will have a modern set of technical requirements for systems and infrastructure, as well as design guidelines including process flow studies, room data sheets, adjacency diagrams, room layouts, planning considerations and full facility prototype space plans for each mode.
