Our Cities, Buildings & the Silver Tsunami: Designing to Serve Canada’s Aging Population
Aziz Bootwala, Principal and Senior Living Sector Lead, Nancy Wilson, Senior Project Architect, Christine Weber Craik, Senior Interior Designer and Deborah Wadsworth, Senior Project Architect, will be speaking at BUILDEX Vancouver 2023.
In this session, the speakers will identify barriers to aging in place and diverse communities before discussing ways that the building industry can help to create age-friendly and multi-generational environments, regardless of sector. These strategies will be based on interviews with experts on aging and dementia, a review of current evidence and literature, and our professional experience.
