Adding residential capacity in Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood

Kasian is the Architect of Record for EPIC Condominiums on Triangle Park, a 22-storey mixed-use retail and residential condominium high-rise project in Toronto’s trendy West Queen West neighbourhood. In addition to 478 condominium units, the development includes retail and workshops at street level, 425 underground parking spaces, and several outdoor courtyards and landscaped pedestrian-friendly hangouts.

Situated in “one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world” (NY Times) and in a flourishing art community, the project was envisioned as a contemporary addition that provides support to aspiring artists with live/work accommodation. With the existing Drake Hotel and Gladstone Hotel located in proximity, the project creates a strong pedestrian experience for its high-density neighbourhood, while also offering outdoor amenities.

The building follows the Toronto Green Standard and incorporates various sustainable design elements including a green roof, energy efficient envelope, and abundant bicycle storage.
